Tuition Fees

Tuition fees vary depending on the program:

  • Chinese-English Taught Programs:
    • Engineering and Technology: 30,000 RMB per year
    • Economics, Finance, and Management; Law: 26,000 RMB per year
    • Arts: 40,000 RMB per year
    • Clinical Medicine: 40,000 RMB for the foundation stage (3 years), 60,000 RMB for the research stage (2 years), and 70,000 RMB for the clinical stage (3 years)

IELTS Requirements

  • English-Taught Programs:
    • Applicants must demonstrate a high level of English proficiency. For non-native English speakers, a TOEFL score of 75 or an IELTS score of 6.5 or above is required for undergraduate programs.
  • Chinese-English Taught Programs:
    • Chinese language proficiency of HSK Level 5 or above, with each subject scored over 60 points, is required. Alternatively, HSK Level 4 (with each subject scored over 60 points) is acceptable, provided applicants improve to Level 5 or above within the first academic year. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the university.

Application Process

Application Process:

  1. Online Application:
    • Create an Account: Register on PKU's online application portal.
    • Complete the Application Form: Fill out the necessary details during the application period.
    • Upload Required Documents: Submit all necessary documents as specified.
  2. Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable application fee of 800 RMB online at the time of submission.
  3. Comprehensive Evaluation:
    • Application Review: Submitted applications will be evaluated by the admissions office.
    • Integrative Test: Applicants who pass the initial review may be invited to an integrative test. Specific details will be provided in advance.
  4. Admission Decision:
    • Decisions are based on a comprehensive evaluation of academic performance, language proficiency, supporting materials, and test results.

Additional Information:

  • Accommodation:
  • On-campus dormitory accommodation must be booked online within the designated time. Those who fail to apply for the dorm online need to find off-campus accommodation independently.
  • Insurance:
    • International students are required to have basic accidental injury and hospitalization insurance, costing 800 RMB per year.
